Insight Releases PISO Version 3.2

(Insight), the leader in database performance and security, announced the launch of PISO v3.2, a real-time database security monitoring, auditing, searching and analyzing solution. PISO v3.2 improves the security operational efficiency and supports more environments.

Advanced E-Mail Notification
- Summary Reporting by E-Mail
Alerts can be notified at once instead of each alert. PISO v3.2 allows the user to choose the reporting option. If alerts are sent as summary at once, the details of each alert can be attached to the email. - Message Edit
You can edit and add the title and contents of the E-mail notification. - Notification by Severity
Recipient can be specified for each severity. - Status Management Reporting by E-Mail
The summary of alert status can be reported periodically based on the severity and status of alert. This allows the user to control the alert status more efficiently.
Status Check Improvement
PISO v3.2 controls its internal processes with six-status type as a self-check so that PISO v3.2 can run more stably and safely.

- 2.Stop
- Indicates Collector is not running now
- 3.Restarting
- Indicates Collector is being restarted
- 4.Failed to start
- Indicates Collector failed to start because it reached the maximum retry number of times to start
- 5.Need to check
- Indicates the unexpected event has been detected
- 6.Unknown
- Others
As a result, even if the target Oracle database is restarted, PISO Collector can also be restarted as well. Also, even if the status of each process cannot be collected, the information is reported to the console log as error and notified as alert.
Performance Improvement for CSV output in Mining Search
Due to the massive volume of database access logs, it requires more time to download the collected data as CSV or to send the data to other servers. PISO v3.2 improves the performance of the following items
- Exporting CSV data
- Changes made to improve the speed of collecting the entire SQL text during the CSV output. As a result, more data can be handled with less time.
- Support the direct path load to other severs
- The conventional path load was previously used. However, PISO v3.2 supports the direct path load as well, so that it dramatically improves the loading performance.
More environments Support
- RedHatLinux4.0(x86-64), Solaris10
- PISO Manager uses Oracle 10gR2 so that RedHatLinux4.0(x86-64) and Solaris10 are supported.
- Target MSCS Active-Active
- PISO Target supports Microsoft Cluster Service (MSCS) Active-Active.
