Insight adds Support for SQL Server with PISO v3.1 Release
Mar 23, 2007 - Tokyo, Japan: Insight Technology, Inc. (Insight), the leader in database performance and security, announced the launch of PISO v3.1, a real-time database security monitoring, auditing, searching, and analyzing solution for Microsoft SQL Server enterprises.
PISO v3.1 enables organizations to solve the performance dilemma of collecting audit logs for SQL Server. The content of the audit logs can be viewed using SQL Server Profiler. However, auditing is typically associated with performance impacts. Therefore, PISO proactively detects the performance impacts caused by SQL Server Profiler and effectively control the impacts automatically. In addition, PISO collects audit logs by using internal functions provided by Microsoft SQL Server and sends the collected logs directly to PISO Manager through HTTP without any disk I/O, so that it solves the performance issues.
Insight will continue to enhance its ability to create unified controls across heterogeneous, multi-vendor database infrastructures.
