Insight Technology Inc ( headquartered at 2- 1- 52, Chigasaki , Chigasaki shi Kanagawa ken, Japan, President and CEO: Obata, hereafter called Insight Technology) will release a product called 'PISO Forensic Option' ( Development code name 'PISO OLAP'), a database monitoring solution that has been jointly developed with Oracle Corporation Japan, starting April 25.
PISO Forensic is a product that analysis the access log of the database collected by PISO. By grasping the access pattern , it supports effective access monitoring and access control settings thereby protecting the information resource.
PISO Forensic enables a category wise analysis of all the data gathered by PISO based on terminals, address and programs etc in addition to the standard analytical functionalities (user, object and time zone access logs). Further, by processing a large amount of data in an exclusive and dedicated PISO Forensic server, it has become possible to obtain giga units of access logs that were stored in the past.
PISO Forensic has been configured by means of a database that manages the analysis template, business intelligence, access log as a PISO option product. Its price is around 1 million yen per CPU. Along with the release of PISO Forensic, we are aiming to sell 50 licenses by April 2007 by strengthening our alliances with our sales partners.
In accordance with the enactment of the law for the protection of privacy and private information of April 2005, many new products with the 'access log' keyword have been introduced into the market. However, most of these products target the storage of the access logs and the fact still remains that the analysis of all this massive log data that is going to be stored over the span of a few years has not been given much consideration. Insight Technology wants to address this need quickly and has introduced a new concept called "Forensic'.

About 'PISO'
PISO is a database security tool, which audits transactions in order to monitor against illegal or unnecessary data access from internal and external attacks such as SQL injections.
