Start to provide the ' Database Clinic Service'
Dell Inc. (Located at: Saiwai Ku, Kawasaki shi, Japan, CEO: Hiroshi Hamada, http://www.dell.com/jp/, Below: Dell) and Insight Technology Inc. (Located at 2- 1- 52, Chigasaki , Chigasaki shi Kanagawa ken, Japan, CEO: Ichiro Obata and hereafter called Insight Technology) have agreed on a new joint offer of 'Database Clinic Service' which is compatible with Oracle database.
The 'Database Clinic Service' is a joint service offered by Dell and Insight Technology which will support the customers who are facing problems with system performance and old UNIX system's operation cost. Insight Technology will inspect the system's core database quantitatively then Dell and Insight Technology will offer the compatible solutions based on the result to customers such as performance tuning, proper hardware additions and the old UNIX system migration etc.
This service will be provided by Dell as a part of Oracle Business consulting of Dell's professional service business department. It aims to increase sales in the enterprise business field by Oracle database system turning wich matchs the results achieved in the high performance server 'Power Edge series' and the fiber channel storage 'Dell EMC series'.

It will examine the current database and tuning, hardware addition, system migration or other compatible solutions will be recommended to enhance the system when there is a problem.
- Insight Technology will work on database performance turning and effective measurement bases on the results of the examination. Also, Insight Technology will provide the turning measure and know-how to help the clients carrying out the process on their own.
- Based on the results of the examination, when hardware additions or replacements are required, compatible hardware configuration will be recommended by Dell and hardware performance can be extended to the maximum settings.
- Propose the migration of old UNIX system performance ~ Dell's 'Power Edge'. Both Insight Technology and Dell will move the old UNIX system prototype to the new system and test on the migration results to build a agreeable proposal to the clients.
